| In 1983, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the third week of September as National Adult Day Services Week. The week offers an opportunity to educate the public about their services and benefits to older Americans.
Adult day services began in the 1960s as a health-care service. In 1978, there were just 300 centers nationwide. Today, more than 3,500 adult day centers support the needs of families and caregivers who offer an alternative to nursing homes and assisted living.

To promote Adult Day Services in your community, or to sponsor an event during this important week try doing it with custom healthcare and personal products let those who work hard to help caregivers pamper themselves.
