| Poverty in America not only affects the millions of people who are deprived of the common necessities to live, but it also affects the idea of progression and hopefulness in this country. The more than 37 million people in Americans living in squalor, poverty, and hunger are not invisible. During National Poverty in America Awareness Month, non-profit organizations, businesses, and individuals alike come together to combat poverty.

If you are thinking of a community outreach program at the workplace, you can locate a neighboring non-profit assocation that helps the impoverished to collaborate on a fundraiser in order to make an impact during National Poverty in America Awareness Month. You can even reach out to your clients, implementing a gift with donation giving away items like promotional mugs, drawstring bags, or like thank you gifts. You and company can be a catalyst for giving to poverty stricken families and individuals.
We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.
