In 1991, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) established the Office on Women's Health (OWH) to improve the health and well-being of the women in America. Through educational programs and community events, this celebration of health awareness strives to raise the importance of key women's health issues. The 8th annual National Women's Health Week will take place on May 13-19, 2007; this event starts on Mother's Day because there is already much attention focused on women.
So how can you get involved in this great effort?
