Celebrate Native American CultureNative American Heritage Month |
| In 1996, President Bill Clinton, proclaimed November as the official month of Native American Heritage. He urged all americans alike to observe the month with celebration, education, and awareness, so as to help each other to fully understand the Native American Culture. One of the main purposes of Native American Heritage Month is to honor and recognize the people of the past that originiated on American soil.
You can promote Native American Heritage Month by educating students on the many different tribes that are still in exsistence today by discussing their origins and beliefs. Have promotional themed parties to represent your own Native American heritage. If you aren't Native American, celebrate by learning and discussing with others, important Native American people that helped shape their culture's history.
