National Businesswomen’s Week

Thanks to President Herbert Hoover the third week of October has been designated as National Businesswomen’s Week.  Founded in 1919, Business and Professional Women’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is committed to career advancement and professional development for female professionals nationwide, has celebrated this annual awareness-raising event ever since.

FACT:  All over the United States there are 7.2 million majority-owned, privately-held, women-owned businesses that employ 7.3 million both men and women.  These corporations generate over $1.1 trillion in sales.

Women in the work place have come a long way in just the last 20 years alone.  A quarter of a century ago it was illegal for a woman to require a business loan without the co-signature of a male.

It is time for your company to recognize the hard working women who support your business everyday of the year. Try custom awards, an item that will show your appreciation, try awarding the top businesswomen of the week as an incentive to win a prize. This will ensure that your hard working businesswomen will know you care.

Your company can also use custom chocolate gift boxes to thank your female leaders.  Leave these beautifully wrapped boxes on their desks at the beginning of the week so they can snack while working hard.

Another great product to show your appreciation to the businesswomen who work for you are custom stress ball note holders, which are a great way to add some fun and stress relief to your offices. ePromos offers a wide variety of corporate gift items that can be customized with your company name and logo and will be of great use to your hard working businesswomen.
