Challenge: Put together a unique gift package for season ticket holders to encourage renewals, increase fan loyalty, and raise customer satisfaction.
A Colorado baseball club wanted to find a special way of showing their appreciation for season ticket holders. Since these tickets are not exactly a small investment for fans, the club wanted a promotional item that paralleled the luxury of the purchase. They wanted a gift that would be a genuine display of appreciation that also demonstrated the club’s level of commitment to its fan base. The package also had to be long-lasting so it could serve as a reminder to renew season tickets in the future.
Solution: Deliver fans their season tickets inside stylish wooden boxes that featured a pewter inlay of the team’s logo.
To thank customers, the club finally decided on a handsome, custom-made wooden box with a high perceived value. The box featured the team’s logo embedded on the lid of the box, which could be emptied out and used for other purposes or simply kept as a collector’s item. Within the box, the customer received their parking passes and season tickets in a neat display that suggested the club had paid careful attention to detail. None of the items in the box overlapped, which gave the impression that the box was carefully crafted with the fan’s purchase in mind.

Result: Rave reviews about the presentation of the tickets, as well as a 98% renewal rate the following season.
