Custom bags are some of the most versatile promotional items around. They can work for any organization to get any message out there. For our client, the Assistance League of Corvallis, custom bags are a way to generate money and awareness.
Here’s a quick look at how this national nonprofit is putting custom bags to work (see here).
Assistance League of Corvallis, the Oregon chapter of the nonprofit dedicated to bettering the community through philanthropic programs
To raise money and awareness, specifically at an annual fundraising event and a winter event. The organization typically raises thousands of dollars at these events, benefitting Operation School Bell™, a program that provides supplies and clothing to school-age children.
Why custom bags?
“Our community, like many others, is emphasizing the need to promote using reusable grocery bags. I’ve wanted to do this for years, and now seemed like a good time to start,” says Cindy Kent of the Assistance League of Corvallis. “Corvallis is a university town that’s very environmentally aware and concerned about environmental issues, so this seemed like a win-win opportunity.”
How the custom bags are being used:
“We’re introducing them at our general meeting next week. They’ll be on display at our event, then at monthly meetings and from our chapter headquarters,” Kent says. “We may have some vendors that are willing to carry some to sell to the public for us, too.”
Custom bags are creating a buzz:
“Members that have seen them at board meetings and committee meetings so far are very anxious to buy the bags and don’t want to wait until next week’s event,” she says. “They just want to buy now and order more. They’re a great and inexpensive way to get our name out in the community on a daily basis.”
How ePromos made it easy:
“The quality is more than expected, and the graphics are very nicely done,” says Kent. “Working with ePromos was a really good experience. Alicia Kiewatt-Stenlund was very helpful, and I worked mostly with Ron Denny, who was great with all of my questions and concerns. He made sure I was happy with the order prior to approval and production.”
