Challenge: How to create a long lasting employee appreciation program.|
An international insurance and banking company created an employee appreciation award program. The company wanted to recognize employees who reached increments of 5 to 45 years of service. They needed an award that would be easy to replicate and produce every year.
Solution: A crystal globe award is chosen to fit the international company.
A crystal award was chosen, a solution that worked well and was easy to replicate. The packaging was also designed to reduce the risk of any breakage during shipping. Each employee received the same crystal globe award; however the size of the base increased as the employees tenures increased. With each 5-year increment, a new base was given to the employee. The recognition program featured nine levels of recognition.
Result: Both the company and its employees are happy with the choice of product.
The company was committed to the project,as it took 12 months to develop and implement. The company was happy to know about the impact recognition programs have on employee retention. In the end, the employees were thrilled with the award and looked forward to receiving the next level every five years.
