Challenge: Advertise a new store
A new tanning salon was opening and needed a way to get people interested in visiting it. They needed a product that was original and could help establish a solid client base.
Solution: The salon created a unique coupon as a giveaway prize
Instead of passing out paper coupons like most stores, the salon decided to make their coupons into Screen Printed Lanyards instead. Lanyards were personalized to read, “For a free tan, bring this in to VIP Tanning.” The company also hung a sample of their tanning lotion off the lanyard’s hook, which included their address and phone number. They then distributed the “coupons” out at a local concert.
Result: Huge sales increase
Within the first week and a half after the concert, the salon reported a 15% increase in traffic. The lotion was a hit at the concert, and gave the company incredible amounts of new exposure.
