Promotional Calendar Helps Reduce Accidents at Work

Challenge: Promote health, safety and environmental performance.
A chemical company wanted to show its employees how they could reduce the likelihood of getting into an accident at work. The promotional item they chose had to be practical, noticeable, and effective.
Solution: A custom span-a-year calendar.
The client decided upon a custom span-a-year calendar. Each calendar had a phantom overprint to highlight the months when chemical reports were due. The calendar also had a UV-laminated surface which could be written on with an erasable marker and wiped clean, allowing employees to mark notes where appropriate. The company’s custom colors were used and matched the overprint. As an added design feature, the calendars were tinned at the top and bottom and had the erasable marker attached with a clip at the bottom of the calendar.
Result: A reduction in accidents at work.
The size of this calendar made it perfect for hanging in plant and office locations. It was distributed to all plant managers, then placed throughout the plant and in each office to provide employee awareness. This calendar helped to reinforce employee health, safety and environmental performance throughout the year and made the efforts of the company to achieve this goal easier and more effective. In fact, the company had a decrease in accidents by 2% and managers said that the reminder of report due dates was an effective tool in handing the reports in on time.
