Fun Radio Station Giveaways Prove That Everyone Loves Free Stuff
Challenge: A radio station needed fun giveaway items to hand out to people on the streets.
Street marketing, along with focus groups, is a great way to meet and interact with a target audience. The venue enables companies to communicate with and impact their target audience directly – more so if you give out promotional products that aid in that interaction. So when radio station Big 105 The Drive, a popular music station in Red Deer, Alberta Canada, wanted to build further exposure of their brand by giving out fun products at different street marketing events, they knew they needed to come to the experts in promotional products, ePromos, to find a product that would help them get the response they were looking for.
Solution: The station chose five separate items to use as part of their campaign.
Big 105 chose custom flyers, lip balm, paper clip dispensers, mini staplers, and letter openers to promote their station on the streets. The items were all imprinted with the station’s name and frequency to promote recognition and increase the listener base.
Big 105 knew that these products were going to be used regularly by their recipients, building lasting brand exposure for the radio station.

The street teams handed out the products at the street events people flocked to receive them. “The Drive” team loved the response they got from their crowds and considers this an investment that they will continue to make for all future event.
