Promotional Gift Drives Golfers to New Course

Challenge: Commemorate the grand opening of a new nine hole golf course.
A public golf facility was looking for a way to commemorate the grand opening of a new nine hole addition to their current course. They also sought to recognize current golfers and encourage new players to try out the course.
Solution: A promotional apothecary jar filled with golf candy and coupons.
The course eventually decided on a VisionSteel 11oz. Apothecary Jar by VisionUSA filled with chocolates that were shaped like miniature golf balls. The jar featured a 5-color logo screen printed on one side and a one color imprint of the phone number for tee times on the other. Inside the polybag with the apothecary jar was a coupon for 25% off on the price of a dozen golf balls.
Result: Well-received by golfers and resulted in increased play/sales.
As golfers signed in at the pro shop, each one received the imprinted apothecary jar. The gift was well-received and resulted in increased play at the course as well as increased sales at the pro shop. The course noticed that after the promotion, many new golfers began to play regularly at the course.
