Promotional Products Help Author, Songwriter, Producer Kevin Raines to Launch New Inspirational Message Product Line

Challenge: To identify the best promotional products to carry an inspirational message.

If you discover a message to share with the world, you’ll also discover many ways to communicate it, whether by writing a book, singing a song or even launching a new product line—all methods used by author, songwriter and producer Kevin Raines to share his gifts with the world. Most recently, Kevin discovered a simple message to encourage people that there is always a way to overcome difficult situations: tasGap, an acronym that seemed to shine from the paper as Kevin took notes during a sermon one day. TasGap stands for “Take Aim, Seek God and Pray.” To get the message out, first locally, then globally, Kevin and his firm Nivek Co. distributed products with his new message: tasGap.

Solution: Branded insulated lunch bag, notebooks and pencil spread the message and raise funds.

That’s when the Nivek team reached out to ePromos Promotions Specialist Caitlin Powers in search of products that would help spread the message to Christian groups and others seeking inspiration. To raise funds for Kevin’s organization, the team planned to sell their products in an online store and in Christian bookstores. They would also give them away during tours and events, as well as to individuals who joined the tasGap membership organization.

After exploring ePromos’ extensive Web site, the team selected four products to carry the tasGap message:

  • The Recycled Junior Notebook and Pen, a not-so-junior book at nearly 7 x 10-inches, with 60 sheets of recycled, lined paper on a spiral binding. The Recycled Junior also comes with a matching pen in a transparent snap pouch.
  • The Buy Write Pencil, a #2 full-length, unsharpened pencil, also carrying the sharp tasGap message.

Result: Promotional products win rave reviews, help artist’s dreams come true

The Nivek team tells us that the products continue to receive rave reviews from fans and friends of tasGap alike, with the eco-friendly Recycled Junior notebook being the most popular of the group. The team says the notebook’s attractive packaging and unique pen “draw” you in. Kevin, a mortgage and insurance broker in another life, is happy with the products as well; he relies upon them to help him achieve his goals and to carry the message that inspired him to switch paths and follow his dreams. Kevin has also authored a children’s book about a horse he adopted named Story, and is the producer of many inspirational programs.
