National Window Covering Safety Month is run every year during October by The Window Covering Safety Council (WCSC) and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This month is dedicated to providing facts about making your home safer for your children to play. The other intent is to also inform the public about safe window installation and window maintenance.
The organization has existed in some form since 1927, and with their experience and reputation, the WDMA is the definitive source for window safety information. Some of the main tips they distribute during the month are to move all types of furniture away from windows. WDMA encourages only the installment of cordless window coverings and if that isn’t possible, then to tie up the strings in knots, unreachable to children.
If you’re business or organization is in the window installation industry, then get on board with promoting this safety month. After doing an installation, give your customers magnets to put on their fridge. This way if they ever need your services again, they can find your number right away, but also, your customers will know how much their family’s’ safety means to you. Promotional banners can be hung in the office or at home as a quick safety reminder as well. ePromos can imprint your logo or message on any product so you can personalize your touch and voice.
