The Scripps Research Institute

If you’re not familiar with The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), here’s a quick background: It’s headquartered in La Jolla, California, with a sister facility in Jupiter, Florida. It’s home to 3,000 scientists, technicians, and grad students.

Oh, and it’s also one of the world’s largest nonprofit biomedical research organizations.

Like all research organizations, TSRI needs funds. Most of its work is funded by grants and contracts, but funds are also raised on a community level.

That’s where the organization’s ePromos for Good win comes into play.

Susan Capone Rode, Manager Philanthropy Services & Systems for Scripps Florida, plans to use the $500 in free promotional products to purchase custom lapel pins.

“We have an annual auction, and we’ll use the pins as luncheon gifts, and also as a call-to-action for donating,” she says. “We want recipients to proud to wear them.”

Her overall goal with the pins? To generate brand awareness and good will for the organization.
