NEW YORK, NY, September 4, 2012 — For the third year in a row, ePromos Promotional Products, Inc. has made Counselor magazine’s “Best Places to Work List.” ePromos is ranked 18th on the list of businesses in the advertising specialty and promotional products industry, moving from the 33rd spot in last year’s list. Counselor magazine is a business-to-business trade magazine published by the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI). In surveying the employees of ad specialty companies – more than 4,000 of them this year – ASI came up with the 85 Best Places to Work in the industry. From over 27,000 companies in the promotional products field, only 85 are chosen.
“When our employees are happy, our customers are happy and when our customers are happy, we are running a great business,” said Jason Robbins, founder and CEO, ePromos Promotional Products, Inc. “Purchasing promotional products, regardless of technology, involves real promo know-how people, who can provide the best results for end users of promotional items, corporate apparel, gifts and awards.”
“One of the things that really separates ePromos from other places I’ve worked is the engagement of our teams,” said Sheila Johnshoy, Vice President of Marketing, based in the company’s St. Cloud, Minnesota office. “Everyone contributes ideas and finds ways to build the business regardless of their location or position. It’s great to be part of a team with such bright people and diverse ideas.”
ePromos knows that motivating employees is more than a paycheck or benefits package. The ePromos team voted it one of the best places to work for many reasons, including: incentive programs, employee recognition awards, programs, team-building events, frequent office parties and social outings.
“To continue to be recognized for the third straight year, and to continue to make such a dramatic move up the list is truly an honor and a testament to our commitment of providing a positive work environment,” said Robbins. “We are focused on providing a great experience for our employees and clients. By including both groups in every strategy we build, we keep our most important stakeholders happy.
“With team members throughout the United States, we use the latest technologies to stay connected,” Johnshoy said. “We connect with team members in11 different states using internet-based instant messenger and video conferencing to build strong working relationships with our teams and provide solutions for our customers around the globe.”
Nominations were selected from more than 300 applicants, and the companies making the “Best Places to Work List” were chosen from an employee survey that measured 10 different areas: team effectiveness, retention risk (employee loyalty), alignment with goals (do employees understand company goals?), trust with coworkers, individual contribution (does the company adequately recognize employees?), manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued (does the company invest in employee success?), satisfaction with current role, and people practices (satisfaction with company benefits).
