Healthcare Resource and Materials Management Week
The first full week in October has been designated as National Healthcare Resource and Materials Management Week to recognize the integral role of materials management departments in delivering high-quality patient care.
The Association for Healthcare Resource & Material Management (AHRMM) started Healthcare Resource and Materials Management Week back in 2004 and ,to this day, still uses the seven days to ask Hospitals to acknowledge and recognize materials management and procurement professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity to show your appreciation for all your resource and materials management staff. Start off thanking staff with promotional scrubs for hospital employees to wear during the week. These shirts are so exciting to hand out because you know that they will be greatly appreciated as well bring notice to the hospital beyond in-house staffing.
