Southwest Human Development
When Southwest Human Development (SWHD) was founded in 1981, it had a staff of six and it served 175 children and families. Today, it’s Arizona’s largest nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development. The organization has 800 employees and serves 135,000 young children and their families each year.
The nonprofit provides more than 40 programs and services tailored to children from birth to age five. It’s the first of its kind in Arizona to use a blended developmental, mental health, and medical model.

Ryan Narramore, Marketing and Communications Manager for SWHD, says the organization would like to use custom tote bags at community outreach events.
“As a charity, it’s important that we invest our funding in the more than 135,000 young children and families we work with each year, which can limit the amount of promotional products we can typically purchase to increase awareness of our organization,” he says.
